Guiding Clients to Victory Through Strategy, Compassion, and Communication
Born of humble beginnings, Trevor Davis grew up in a working-class family. He entered school and the professional world during three major nationwide events, the housing crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the tech bubble burst. All his life, he wanted to advocate for hardworking Ohioans of every stripe and background, and his lived experience showed him there was a critical need for attorneys who were willing to do just that.
The Problem-Solving of an Engineer Combined with the Strategic Acumen of a Talented Trial Attorney
Weeks after passing the bar, Trevor joined NRS Injury Law in November 2022 and immediately committed himself to the administrative and litigation aspects of workers’ compensation law. But even he couldn’t have predicted this outcome. Trevor had initially gone to school to become a computer technology engineer, though he’d dreamed of being an attorney since age 7.
“I’ve found it more than fascinating how similar these fields are,” said Trevor with a smile while reflecting on the moments that led him to today. “I’ve always had a mind for problem-solving, and in engineering we have our engineering process, which involves isolating the issue, finding information associated with the issue, coming to a conclusion, and implementing a solution. You can imagine my joy when I fulfilled my lifelong dream of going to law school and found the same strategies apply to law!”
Today, Trevor’s penchant for problem-solving, passion for the underdog, and professional ability to find common ground with anyone positions him to succeed in representing injured workers in Southern Ohio.
A Multi-Faceted Approach Wins the Day for Trevor’s Workers’ Compensation Clients
From the mock trials he excelled at in high school to the real thing today, Trevor’s greatest joy is in securing results for clients, and doing so as quickly and efficiently as possible. “The system as it stands right now doesn’t act in the injured workers’ best interests at all,” says Trevor. “It’s slow, cumbersome, and workers are up against powerful institutions. My role is to push back, and to do so as quickly and efficiently as possible. My goal is to get my clients the compensation and the care that they need and deserve.”
To Trevor, being a successful attorney is not defined by personal accolades, but by the results he gets for his clients. “That view is shared by everyone here at the firm,” Trevor added, gesturing to the offices around him. “The end goal at NRS Injury Law is to deliver results for clients. We do that by leveraging every resource we have and by utilizing a highly organized and tested team approach. It’s methodical and systematic on the backend, with no box left unchecked and no detail left undiscovered. And it’s compassionate, empathetic, and people-focused on the front end. It’s a unique, unprecedented approach, and it’s how we win for our clients.”
Community Impact
Trevor has prioritized giving back to the community since childhood. He grew up in a household that valued volunteer work, so some of his fondest memories are of working with United Way. Trevor carried those values into academia, serving as the Design and Advertising Chair for his fraternity’s involvement in Relay for Life. Trevor also founded and headed an organization called Flyers Against Drunk Driving. Trevor is still involved with United Way and Relay for Life today, and he volunteers at the Young Lawyers section of the Cincinnati Bar, who take pride in giving back to multiple organizations in Cincinnati as needs arise.
Work/Life Balance
“I’m a big walker,” Trevor says with a grin when anyone asks him what he does during his free time. But just as he is energetic and motivated in his career, Trevor also makes the most of every free minute in his “down” time. If he’s not walking the streets of downtown Cincinnati with his wife, Trevor’s playing pickleball, golfing, dining out, cooking a new meal, or writing. And always the problem-solver, Trevor can often be found doing handyman tasks around the house and at the homes of family members and loved ones.
