Kelynn I. Carter is an associate attorney with Nager, Romaine & Schneiberg Co., L.P.A. and focuses her practice on workers’ compensation. Prior to joining NRS, Kelynn worked as a Judicial Staff Attorney in the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court where she managed a civil litigation docket, led settlement conferences, pre-trials, and formulated recommendations to the bench on the disposition of motions.
Kelynn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia before returning back home to Cleveland to begin her legal studies. She earned her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she was a finalist for the Dean’s Learn Law. Live Justice Award, and was a Russel T. Adrine Endowed Scholarship Recipient. While in law school, Kelynn was active in numerous organizations such as the Cleveland State Law Review, the Deans’ Admissions Committee, the Student Bar Association, and the National Black Law Students Association. She led efforts to create partnerships with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and local organizations to conduct minority career fairs, volunteered with the Cleveland Marshall College of Law’s Community Advocacy Clinic to assist low-income clients with a variety of legal needs, and has worked in a variety of legal practices focused on mass tort, product liability, legal malpractice, fair housing, and personal injury to name a few.
Kelynn is a native Clevelander and enjoys playing volleyball and softball, swimming, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
